Returning Green Teens

The Green Teens program is a paid farm-based internship, where youth apprentices receive intensive hands-on training in farm and market management. We hire youth for the summer season to assist with day-to-day farm work, including plant and animal care, farmers’ markets, produce sales, green building, and site maintenance. Throughout the season, there will also be many opportunities to engage in community outreach, attend field trips and workshops, lead volunteer groups, and carry out independent projects. All graduating Green Teens will have the opportunity to apply to stay on as hired part-time instructors after the summer season. Learn more here.

Saratoga Urban Agro-Ecological Center: The nearest subway station is the Ralph Ave C, which is currently not wheelchair accessible. Alternative transportation options include the B25 and B44 bus services.

Far Rock Urban Agro-Ecological Center: The Far Rock subway station (Beach 44th Street) is currently not wheelchair accessible. However, volunteers can transfer at the Far Rockaway Mott Ave Station to a Beach Channel-bound Q22 bus, which stops on the corner of the farm.
