TCAH has been a leader in the Urban Farming revolution since 2007. Having started with two backyard plots, TCAH now operates two robust youth-led Urban Argo-Educational Centers which employ nearly 30-at risk teens in our Green Teens Internship Program. Additionally, on a combined one acre, the green spaces serve as live learning labs to more than 1,000 students and have the capacity to provide the local community with 30,000 pounds of fresh produce annually. In addition to our Community Health Education programs, our agricultural spaces are home to many schools and those in need of open areas for environmental and nutritional education. Schools and community members can visit the farms to participate in free hands-on learning programs. In the summer, visitors can shop for local produce at our Far Rock and Saratoga farm stands.
