Fire Safety Training for Seniors on May 11, 2012

During our third session of Health 360, the Fire Safety Inspector gave an important training session on keeping yourself safe from fires.  The training session taught the seniors how to prevent smoking fires, prevent electrical fires, prevent home heating fires, kitchen fires and injuries.  The training session also taught the seniors how to treat burns, what to do when  your clothing catches on fire, and fire escape planning for your homes.  Each senior received a handbook that had a fire safety checklist in the back to identify possible safety problems in their homes.  We at BSCAH hope that this training could help our seniors save lives from unintentional fire death, including their own.
